My husband, the baker

Johnny never ceases to amaze me. Let me explain...
The other night he decided that it would be fun to find some biscotti receipes and try them out. So without any hesitancy he whipped up the batter and went through all of the tedious steps to produce some amazing homemade cherry biscotti for the cafe. He is quite the cook and if you live in the area you should come by to try some of it for yourself!

Enjoying the wonderful aroma of his hard work :)

You know you live in California if...

you can go to the beach in December! We went down to the beach on Tuesday afternoon to try and get some photos for our Christmas card. This was Zeke's first time, although I get the feeling he was more interested in his hands.
He wasn't crazy about getting kisses from mom and dad at the same time.
Happy family :)

A Couple More Blessing Photos

This was what the cake looked like that we enjoyed after Zeke's blessing. It was almost too cute to cut into.

Sunday Dinner

A few weeks ago after church we joined my parents for dinner. My mom made a wonderful beef stew that was perfect for the fall season...it tasted sooo good!
Zeke enjoys being in the bouncer...he coos and makes cute little sounds. He's happy and content to be in it when sometimes your arms just need a little break :).

Mom, Dad, and Paul Journey to California

We had the wonderful privilege of playing host to John's mom, dad, and brother during the beginning of November. It was so much fun to have them in our home with us and it was great to enjoy their company and conversation.
While they were here they were soooo much help with Zeke! It was such a nice treat to be able to actually get ready in the morning and not worry about the little guy because I knew he was in good hands :). It was great to have them here with us for Zeke's blessing and so special to have John's dad and brother in the blessing circle. We're so glad they made the very, very LONG journey to California to be with us. We sure love them and we're looking forward to being up in Idaho with all of the Roots for Christmas!
Zeke has A LOT of uncles (7 to be exact), but Uncle Paul was the first one Zeke got to meet.
